Career advice and counselling is available. The Deans are the first point of contact for students and, where necessary, a referral will be made to see the school’s Careers Counsellor.
Year 12 and 13 students can book a one-on-one career counselling session with the school’s Career Counsellor and parent / caregiver enquiries are also welcome.
Students are encouraged to visit the Careers Centre before school or at lunch times to access the career resources available.
To help students keep up to date with what’s happening, careers information and events are posted on the daily notices and the Career Centre pages of RangiNET.
During Term 3, Deans and Careers staff assist students with making their subject choices for the following year. Refer to Academic Programmes for details of subjects offered at the College and entry requirements for both tertiary study and on-job training pathways.
Career Central, an online platform for student career pathway management, is introduced to students at Year 10. Students are encouraged to utilise the Career Central facilities over their senior school years and to maintain a digital record of their personalised career planning.
