A Māori Whānau Evening is taking place today, 6pm to 8pm at Te Taua Moana Marae, (Navy Marae, Jim Titchener Parade) in Devonport.  The purpose of this night is to come together as kaiako, tauira and extended whānau to learn about and celebrate each other and our shared culture. This whānau night you will again powhiri on and learn more about tikanga and more specific details and stories about the pou in the marae. Each pou represents a different waka and each have their own stories. These will be shared by our students. We will then share a big kai.
