Please read all the information below and ensure you have all the required documentation before submitting the online enrolment form below.

In-Zone students are expected to reside in-zone for the duration of their enrolment at Rangitoto College.

You must be living in-zone at the time of submitting your enrolment application and on the first day your child attends school.

Owner

• Property owners’ current rates or water account.
• If the purchase has been in the last 3 months, please include a copy of the solicitor’s final settlement letter.
• Property owners who have recently moved in-zone will need to provide confirmation of sale of property or a rental agreement with your tenants.

Tenant

A full tenancy agreement.

• The minimum tenancy for enrolment is one-year fixed term agreement of which you are the sole occupants.
• Tenancy agreement must be in the name of the parent or legal guardian with the Rental Agent/ Property owner.
  Flat share/ boarding/homestays or renting part of a dwelling do not meet this criteria.

• If your previous address was rented you will need to provide a copy of the Bond Refund receipt.

For rentals a Bond Lodgment receipt from Tenancy Services confirming lodgment of the bond (ph. 0800737666 for a copy). The bond lodgment form is not accepted.

• The most recent power account (all pages) showing your name and address of the property.

The most recent account for one of the following:

• Broadband/mobile
• Car Insurance
• Other utility

All applicants must provide a full birth certificate reflecting both parents’ names in English.

Valid domestic student visa (please include a copy of the parents’ visa), Residency Visa or Citizenship Certificate for students born outside of New Zealand.

Copy of passport for students born outside of New Zealand

Please include a copy of the entry stamp or airline boarding pass if recently arrived in New Zealand.

Please provide a copy of the students most recent school report.  Year 11-13 students transferring from another school within New Zealand-please attach a copy of your NZQA results.

Copy of any parenting orders or legal guardianship arrangements relating to the student.

• Immunization report
• Any specialist Medical or Education reports if applicable.

Because only a student who lives in the home zone is entitled to enrol at Rangitoto College and because the Board of Trustees has the statutory power to annul the enrolment in certain circumstances, all changes to the student’s usual place of residence when the School is open for instruction must be immediately notified to the School in writing. Where permission is being sought for the student to remain at the School, the application must be made in writing prior to the move taking place.

If you have moved from an out of zone property you owned to the enrolment address in the past 12 months, you will need to provide written proof of what has happened to your past address i.e. sold or rented.

If you have moved in zone from a rented property then you will need to provide a copy of the Bond Refund Form from Tenancy Services for the previous address.

Please Note: renting a room or rooms in zone but living at an out of zone property is not acceptable and is using an address to gain placement.

If you are found to be using an address as temporary accommodation in zone OR give false information to gain enrolment, your enrolment may be annulled in keeping with the Education and Training Act 2020.

Enrolments can take up to 2 weeks to be accepted IF any of the above is missing from your submitted enrolment. An enrolment meeting can only be organised once all documentation has been completed.
