Rangitoto College Community Garden has had a very productive start to 2025, with our current produce including lettuce, tomatoes, courgettes, silverbeet, beans and capsicum. We continue to donate all of our produce to Windsor Park Baptist Church, to help support our local community.

It has been very pleasing to have over 300 students join our google classroom, where they can volunteer to help with watering and weeding sessions. Due to the hot weather we have been experiencing recently, this term watering and weeding sessions are taking place before school three times a week. Three students are able to sign up for each session, with one leader assisting them.

We have been fortunate to have been given spinach, lettuce, spring onion and cabbage seedlings from Bunnings, as well as a passionfruit vine. This will allow us to replace produce that has been harvested, to ensure that we can continue to grow vegetables for our community.  If students are interested in helping with our community garden, please join the google classroom xfr5ftp.
