BACKRangitoto College would like to congratulate all students who have been involved and competed in Maths competitions throughout the year so far.
- Year 11 student, Gwang Ho Kim (pictured below) won first place at the Junior Maths Competition. There were a total of 11 students among the top 30 in NZ.
- At the Auckland Mathex competition, Year 10 students Aubrey Yu, Alston Huang, Felix Luo, and Clement Choo came third place and two Year 9 teams came fourth and fifth.
- Rangitoto College had 12 High Distinctions and 27 Distinctions at the Australian Maths Competition.
- We had 17 students enter Round 2 at the New Zealand Mathematical Olympiad.
- Most recently, Rangitoto College dominated the New Zealand Senior Maths Competition. Year 11 student Gwang Ho Kim came first as the Individual Winner. In the Team Division, Edward Xian, Leo Wang, and Alan Sun came second and John Cai and Eileena Bao came fifth. We also had nine teams in the top 20.
Congratulations to all students who participated in these competitions, your high calibre of work is highly commendable. We are immensely proud of the work and dedication demonstrated by these ākonga.
