BACKNot content with resting on their laurels, the Arts Leadership Team were determined to come up with another Rangitoto-first for 2024.
‘Dancing With The Stars’ was a fabulous new event presented by the Arts Team in week eight. Just like on TV, ten of Rangitoto’s elite dance students were paired up and then partnered with five talented teachers, the ‘stars’ of the show. Various dance and music styles were used to show incredible timing and skill of all the dancers who took part.
Both staff, Miss Jessica Whitfield, Ms Charmeyne McCollin, Miss Lauren Rabak, Miss Leana Strydom, and Mrs Shannon Freestone, and students, practiced for weeks to put on five memorable performances that delighted a packed audience. The Arts Team was thrilled with the enthusiasm of the crowd and was ecstatic to end their Arts year on such a high note.
