Junior Shakespeare went off with a blast this year. Our one night only performance was a huge success!
On Friday 1 December a cast of 30 junior students performed William Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors to a packed Rangitoto Centre. The audience was thrilled by the hilarious performance as the tale of two sets of twins was told. Amid many cases of mistaken identity, our cast members brought the story to life and had a wonderful time while doing so.
This brilliant night was not only brought to fruition by a stellar cast, but the wonderful backstage members of the crew brought the set to life with hand-painted set pieces, versatile costume pieces, and carefully crafted music. A massive congratulations and well done should go to all students involved.
A special thanks as well to the English teachers who guided these students through this process. It would not have been possible without their time and effort.
Thank you to Carmelita Maletino, Siwan Gwynne, Jennifer Matthews, Emma Poyner, and Annie Finnie. Additionally thank you to Amy Berends for her invaluable assistance with the backstage crew.
We hope to see you at next year’s performance!
