BACKOur Red Cross student group have been working hard to increase awareness of the Red Cross mission in the community, as well as providing fundraising support. Their efforts have included holding a movie night and showing The Super Mario Bros Movie where they raised over $750.
They have also been involved in the Red Cross Journey. This project has seen our members take on the challenge of walking 10,000 steps a day whilst learning about how refugees make the journey from their home country to New Zealand. They have also held a Pop Up Thrift Shop and raised over $500. On 20 July, Afaa, a Red Cross representative, came from the Wellington Head Office to present the student leaders with a certificate in recognition of their efforts this year.
