BACKThe competitions for esports are now closing up, with considerable success for Rangitoto College.
Our top Fortnite team placed first in the country in the seven-week-long University of Waikato organised tournament. The winning prizes of Logitech G Pro X Wireless headsets (RRP $469.95) will certainly be of use to these students. The winning team consisted of Blake Bentley, Eric Zhu, Kaelan Young, Luke Beaven, Jeyden Ethen, and Hanbin Lim.
Similarly, our top League of Legends team placed second in New Zealand, making it through to the Australasian competition with the best teams from each state. An unfortunate loss to Footscray High School in Melbourne was their demise. Our congratulations go to Ben Cai, Ryan Li, James Liu, Tony Cao, and Eddy Hui for their remarkable achievements.
