The Rangitoto Sports Awards were held on Friday 28th October in the school auditorium. The evening celebrated student sporting success and service with approximately 200 students and 200 parents attending.
In addition to award winners and nominees, all premier teams and coaches were also invited to attend. This enabled more students to enjoy this special night and celebrate the successes of their friends and teammates.
In addition to team and trophy winners across our many sports, 76 Blues, 21 Blues with Distinction, and 29 national representatives were acknowledged. A huge highlight was having Nigel Avery, who is the current Commonwealth Games Chef de Mission, an Olympian, Commonwealth Games medallist, and Rangitoto alumnus, as a guest speaker.
The overall titles went to world champion sailor, Seb Menzies, and New Zealand senior women’s water polo representative, Darcy Spark.
