Events scheduled: See daily notices – will include

  • Filifest Night
  • A lunchtime karaoke night
  • Traditional Pinoy games
  • Dance tutorials
  • Study sessions with merienda to learn Tagalog and traditional songs
  • End of the year shared lunch
  • A telenovela night from a popular show in the Philippines

Do you want to represent and feel the welcoming culture of the Philippines? Are you interested in learning more about the Filipino culture? Come along! Everyone is welcome!

Kabayan offers an environment for Filipinos (and non-Filipinos alike) to interact with each other. We will be hosting various events that is associated with Filipino culture throughout the year, providing interactive and engaging ways to experience a slice of the Philippines. There will be opportunities to

  • Practise Tagalog and Filipino songs – Merienda
  • Learn traditional dance such as Tinikling, Bulaklakan and Pandanggo
  • Experience Filipino food

Rangitoto Summit Diploma

Students must attend a minimum of 3 events in order for “Kabayan” to be added onto your student profile.  It is expected that you make a meaningful contribution to the events planned.

Student Profile Data

In order to have your activity added to your profile in time to be recognised at prizegiving, please ensure it is added by:

  • Year 9 and Year 10: 21 November 2025
  • Year 11: 19 November 2025
  • Year 12 and Year 13: 18 September 2025
