We learn about phrasing, note choices, each instruments’ roles, and many other aspects of Jazz.
If you are thinking of playing in one of our many jazz bands at the College, or are already in one, joining us will help you prepare for your audition and enhance your playing. There are 2 classes, beginner class and an intermediate class, we rotate between the two every week.
At least 2 years experience of playing an instrument is recommended.
This club and activity does not count towards the Rangitoto Summit Diploma. The benefit of attending Jazz School is to learn the techniques and music.
