Curriculum Leader Classical Studies - T3 2025 start

Rangitoto College is looking for a teacher of Social Science with specialist skills in Classical Studies to lead this curriculum area. We are an energetic, well-resourced, and collegial Social Science department. Classical Studies is a popular and high performing curriculum area at our college and we welcome applications from enthusiastic and motivated teachers who will thrive in a busy and dynamic environment and who are motivated to optimise pedagogy and curriculum. The position commences in Term 3, 2025.

 

Applicants should state all of their subject specialties. An ability to teach across two or more specialties would be advantageous.

As assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $61,329.00 and top rate of $103,086.00. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.

Social Science Teacher (Classical Studies) - T3 2025 start

Student Support Teacher Aide - Fixed term

Rangitoto College is looking for exceptional, empathetic person to work in classes with our students. This is a term time only, fixed term position available for immediate start and finishing on 5 December 2025.

To succeed in this position you will be energetic with a sunny disposition and ideally have experience in working with young people with additional educational needs. 30 hours. Our learning centre staff work full tuition days from 8.50am to 3.20pm (30 hours per week, 30 minutes unpaid lunchtime included).

School hours and term time only allow true work-life balance.

 

Job tasks and Responsibilities

The following is a range of duties that can be required of this position holder;

  • Assisting students in lessons under the direction of the teacher.
  • Supporting small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
  • Assisting students who have specific special needs with their personal care as required
  • Assisting students who have specific needs with access arrangements and specialist furniture as required.
  • Supporting students on off-site trips and activities as required.
  • Contributing to IEP meetings as required
  • Attending learning support meetings
  • Attending professional development as required
  • Maintaining professional confidentiality with regard to student information
  • Positive relationships with students with additional needs
  • Supervision and supporting students with special conditions as necessary
