Rangitoto College is a leading volleyball school in New Zealand, which is reflected in the number of students selected into national teams. It is also reflected in the titles won at local, regional and national levels; we are proud to hold the 2021 National Title for boys' volleyball.

Enrolments, Trials
Year 9 & 10 - Term 3. Seniors - Term 4.
Season Dates
Seniors - early February. Junior - early October.
Game Days
Premier Boys – Friday nights. Premier Girls – Saturday mornings. Boys – Wednesday afternoons. Girls – Thursday afternoons.
Training Times
Based on coach availability. May be mornings or after school.

Our school’s Volleyball programme is rapidly expanding to cater for all those keen on taking the court, from competitive to social and across all levels.

Prem Boys: Rangi Boys team New Zealand Champions for 2023/Silver 2024 and Winners of the Australian Schools Cup – Honors Grade 2023. 

Prem Girls: Rangi Girls team New Zealand Champions for 2024/2023. Winners of the Australian Schools Cup – Honors Grade 2023.

Prem Boys and Girls: First school to win the New Zealand Champs titles in the same year of 2023. 

Venues and transport

Generally at AUT Akoranga Drive, AMI Northcote Road, or at the school’s home venue. 

Uniform

Juniors – PE Shorts. Playing shirt is provided.

Seniors – PE Shorts. Playing shirt is provided.

Premier (Seniors) – playing kit is provided and is included in the season fees.

ALL students are to have their own playing PE Shorts. These can be purchased from the school uniform shop.
