Held throughout the year.

Training Times

Five 6-hour days, once a week, for five weeks.

Students can join the sailing programme during Term 1 (sailing season) or Term 4 (sailing season). Join this exciting Academy and learn the skills enjoyed by thousands of Kiwis during our summer sun drenched days. Rangitoto College and Murrays Bay Sailing Club are proud to provide this fantastic sailing Academy for beginners and intermediate level students. The Academy offers a unique experience and chance to learn and develop sailing skills, confidence, courage, practical water safety and team work skills.

Our 2019 and 2021 sailing team won the Secondary Schools Team Sailing National Championships.

Venues and transport

Training – Murrays Bay Sailing Club.

Competition venues vary – Algies Bay, Wakatere Boating Club etc.

Uniform

Own boat – P class, Starling, Sunburst, Optimist 420
