The Story: Sent to jail for stealing a loaf of bread in 19th-century France, prisoner Jean Valjean earns his release after 19 years of imprisonment only to find a world unwilling to give him a second chance. When a kind Bishop comes to his aid, Valjean breaks his parole in the hope of starting a new life. In time, Valjean is able to become a prosperous business owner, loving adoptive father, and politician. But not all is serene as police inspector Javert, convinced Valjean cannot change, relentlessly pursues the parole breaker. As Valjean confronts and evades Javert at various turns, each man must face how their game of cat and mouse has challenged their ideas of a virtuous life. A story filled with revolution and romance, Les Misérables is an epic tale of hope and redemption.

Today is a non-uniform day raising awareness about Relay for Life and the Cancer Society.  Relay For Life - Te Ara Toiora is an inspiring community event that gives everyone a chance to whakanui (celebrate) people who have or have had cancer and the people who care for them; maumaharatia (remember) loved ones lost to cancer; and tū atu (fight back) by raising awareness and funds for the Cancer Society.  Students are welcome to donate the treasure of their time towards Relay for Life as a service opportunity, raising awareness about this through conversation or to bring a donation towards the Cancer Society.

Due to the inclement weather forecast for this Friday 4 April, Community Relations have postponed the Golf Day.  They will be in touch with the teams and individuals with the new arrangements.   Our annual golf day fundraiser will be held on Friday 4 April 2025 at Pupuke Golf Club.  This year the funds raised are going towards our college's hardship fund for students. If you would like to sponsor a hole or enter a team in this event, we are accepting early registrations from our Rangitoto College community. Sponsoring a hole is an awesome opportunity for business owners to market their business to a captive audience. Players can register themselves or a team of four. Please email communityrelations@rangitoto.school.nz to register your spot.
