Amnesty International at Rangitoto College continues to strive to increase youth involvement and action undertaken in the community as human rights defenders. Members of Amnesty International participate in events to help raise awareness and funds for different causes, as well as writing letters in response to breaches of human rights. As a community, Amnesty International looks at issues such as climate change, the treatment of refugees, discrimination, and much more. Students involved in this community have an opportunity to make their voices heard and help to prevent injustices across the world and in our community.
Students need to attend at least one of the planned activities, attend at least 1 general meeting in Terms 1, 2 and 3 and write at least three letters.
