Tēnā koutou e te whānau whānui o Rangitoto,

The range of celebrations that have taken place this term highlights the exceptional outcomes our students have achieved in 2024. As we head towards the summer break, I would like to thank our parent community for your support of our students this year. We know that a positive triangulation of student, whānau, and school, allows our students to flourish and be confident and well-prepared for the next steps in their own unique journey.

For our leavers, we wish you the very best for life beyond Rangitoto and hope that you will carry forward the knowledge, skills and values that you have learned in your time at the College. While it is always sad to see people leave us, we are excited about the many doors that have opened, with students undertaking their next steps at a variety of universities and workplaces across the globe. For our staff stepping into life outside of Rangitoto, I wish you all the best for your future.

In the absence of students over the summer break, a wide range of property projects are underway ahead of 2025. Major renovations of the final A block wings, and the construction of a board-funded canopy roof over the courts, offer exciting possibilities for next year and beyond. My thanks go to all involved in the delivery of these major projects. We are delighted with the quality of our staff recruitment for next year and look forward to introducing our new teaching and support teams in the first edition of Vista in 2025.

I wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year. I hope you are all able to enjoy a great summer break.

Patrick Gale, Principal
